We still haven't finished with Cleethorpes yet and haven't seen too much of the sea either, though, in reality, it's the Humber Estuary. Anyway, here's the pier, sticking out into the water.
The view from the pier, many moons ago.
Peter Sheffield was a coach company based in Cleethorpes, with a depot close to the railway station. Here are a few vehicles here.
Some buses were used on schools duties. This one has seen better days.
A road train runs along the sea front, providing useful transport.
Back in 1981, the lady morris dancers were in town.
Now for a few of the town's pubs. The Fiddler, The Fisherman's Arms, The Kings Royal and Swashbuckle.
Leaving one of the best 'til last, we arrive at the excellent Nottingham House.
We now begin to leave Cleethorpes behind and, at Suggitts Lane Crossing, we see 45407 and 44767 on railtours.
As we approach Grimsby we happen upon the Rutland Arms, serving beers from Old Mill Brewery.
That would seem to be a good place to conclude this post. The next one will see use in Grimsby itself.
