There are several seaside towns in Lincolnshire and Cleethorpes is the most northerly. Hence the title. I promised you more and here it is. This is an old view of Oxford Street, typical Victorian development.
Cleethorpes used to have its own trams.
Grimsby's trams also ran into Cleethorpes. This one is at the Kingsway terminus.
The Grimsby and Cleethorpes systems were later merged and operated trolleybuses.
Grimsby-Cleethorpes Transport also ran motorbuses. Stagecoach eventually took over.
Visitors to Cleethorpes sometimes arrived on Doncaster Corporation buses!
Most people came by train in the 1950s.

40067 paid a visit on a railtour in the late 1970s.
This fine Great Central signal box controlled things in 1985, but has now gone.
Older DMUs began to be replaced in the early 1990s. Some became increasingly unreliable.
Modern units now serve Cleethorpes station, the 170s have given way to 185s.
Cleethorpes station is known amongst beer-loving folk, as it has two great drinking establishments! No. 1 Refreshment Room is in the original station building.
No. 2 Refreshment Room is in one corner of the present concourse.
