And so to Leith, Edinburgh's port, and once the home of a complicated railway network. Here's the LMS station, ex Caledonian Railway.
The LNER alo served Leith Docks.
BR shunted the docks with little diesels.
By 1983, there was little left of the rail network and a class 08 was sufficent for the traffic.
Leith' inner docks are being gentrified and this ship has become a bar/restaurant.
Alongside the Water of Leith is a pub called The Shore.
A former waiting room in Leith, built to serve ferry passengers to Aberdeen (called locally as "Teuchters") is now a great pub called the Teuchters' Landing.
Todd's Tap was later renamed Carriers Quarters.
Now we're at the Foot of Leith Walk.
A Wetherspoons here has taken its name from the location.
South now, to the short-lived Restalrig Village Brewery.
Not far away was the main Edinburgh depot of Eastern Scottish.
Back to the railway and St Margarets loco shed.
We conclude this post at a nearby pub, the Regent.
We'll finally take our leave of Edinburgh next tiime.
